Paulina Bartnik is an incredible talented Polish artist, based in Warsaw, who creates brooches of birds using embroidery. Her astonishing and detailed works are exact copy of the actual birds.

Paulina can create many different types of stitches colorfully lifelike brooches of birds and other tiny creatures, from gray pigeons to colorful hummingbirds.

You can take a look at some of her works and visit her Etsy shop or see more of her creations in  (via Bored Panda).

“Mostly my work is based on images which fall into my hands and usually I don’t make any sketches,” she told the Paperfolk blog. “I have plenty of ideas in my head (sometimes too much) which isn’t always good because I forget to realize lots of them.”

The process she uses for each object is a piece of wool which she prods with a special needle in a process called dry felting which results in a surface ideal for embroidery. After that she paints with a needle directly on the felt and embroiders the finer details.

The artist Paulina Bartnik shared that she feels lucky that her hobby is also her current job. Her Instagram account has over 40k followers on.
